Environment
As per our slogan "it is much better to recycle that cut the trees" at our production there will be no tree to be cut to produce our furniture therefore we could help the government to protect and to presserve the environment from illegal logging.
Our FSC® Recycled label is your guarantee that our products use 100% recycled teak and conduct the highest ecological and social standard of production.

Our story begins with an old teak wood house from Blora. As year pass, the wood weathers and falls into disuse. At East Colonial we see the potential of this beautifully seasoned wood and we have a dedicated team of suppliers who brings us old teak wood to use as our raw materials.
-
We also work with small scale supplier from nearby village like Aminah. As one of our small supplier, Aminah is delivering some bicycle load of recycled teak wood on daily basis to our factory. By doing that we try to help as many local people around us and as long as they can supply whichever amount we will take them
-
Once we receive the recycled teak woods from various different suppliers, our people will do material selection as recycled teak wood comes in many different sizes such as support, frames and posts. We carefully select the wood to be used in different products and stack them accordingly
-
Our skilled crafts people carefully remove nails and hinges, seeing beyond the weathered surface to a richer heart within.
-
We clean the recycled teak wood and cut into the required components and we put the wood in the kylant dry oven before handed over to our workers. Under the skilful hands of our workers, the wood comes alive again in various different products such as dining tables, chests, cupboards, etc.
-
After being used for main furniture pieces we ended up with piles of left over woods.
At East Colonial we are committed to use even the last pieces of wood by converting this left over woods into various different products such as finger joint laminated products or various handicraft products. The mozaic panels for our new collection called "Rust Teak" are also using the left over woods
